“Children are the least responsible for Environmental change, yet they will bear the greatest burden of its impact.”
Environmental protection is one of the basic prerequisites for the overall development of any country in the world. As awareness of environmental protection is developed, human awareness is also developed about the need to preserve the environment by preventing adverse impacts on nature. The evidence for the impact of climate change and air pollution on children is firm and growing. According to the latest research, we have less than 11 years to make the transformation necessary to avoid the worst impacts of climate change. The level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere would have to be cut by 45 per cent by 2030 to prevent global warming above 1.5 Degrees Centigrade – in other words, the threshold at which the worst impacts of climate change could be averted.
“We are living in a crucial time. The future of our planet depends on the actions we take today.”
At Sri Vidhya Pedam Welfare Foundation we are very concerned about the climate change and its impact on the environment. Hence we have devised projects such as Green Earth Missionto protect the environment. Our projects will focus on creating awareness among all sections of the people about the importance of protecting the environment, encouraging people to go green by planting more trees, Use of Reusable Bagsavoiding Plastic grocery-type bags that get thrown out and end up in landfills or in other parts of the environment, avoiding of printing, promoting use of reusable Beverage Containers, Saving electricity and water.
Sri Vidhya Pedam Welfare Foundation’sobjectives are to conserve natural resources and the existing natural environment and wherever possible, to repair damage and reverse trends. It is critical to protect the environment so as to reduce the destruction of eco-systems. It is more of a moral obligation for humans to protect the environment from pollution and other activities that lead to environmental degradation.
Bharat All Vishwakarma Trust intends to work towards protecting the environment by encouraging people to be eco-friendly. So we can give our future generations a better place to live. VGWF will organise events and workshops to educate students and others about the importance of environmental protection.
