Health

"He who has health has hope; and he who has hope has everything" – Arabic proverb

2.4 million Indians die of treatable conditions every year! Healthcare is a luxury which inaccessible for the poor. Health cannot be a privilege. Donate to help the underprivileged people for their health. India has made rapid strides in the health sector since independence. However, various eye opening data from NFHS clearly indicate that access to healthcare still remains a challenge. While the health statistics of rural India continue to be poor, the health status and access to health for the poor in urban slum dwellers has surfaced to be equally deplorable and have less than 4% of government primary healthcare facilities. Urban slum dwellers suffer from adverse health conditions owing to mainly two reasons –first the lack of education and thus lack of awareness; and second the unwillingness to lose a day’s wage in order to reach the nearest medical facility. Healthcare for underprivileged, which is a desperate need, thus remains unaddressed. The need of the hour is thus a two pronged approach – first to bring quality healthcare services to doorsteps of the needy and second to promote healthcare awareness and contemporary healthcare seeking behaviour among the underprivileged. VGrow Welfare Foundation firmly believes the greatest wealth is health, so it main focus is to improve the quality of life under privileged and needy people. We are doing programs as below

  1. Health Cannot Wait: Sri Vidhya Pedam does health awareness programs with regards to protection from Pandemic disease such as COVID 19, SARS & Etc…. We organize camps and free counselling PAN India to create awareness & enrich people’s knowledge about COVID 19, cancer prevention, AIDS, Tuberculosis, Psychological disorders etc.
As the world faces one of the worst health crises in global history in the form of COVID-19, once again the paramount importance of health has become front and centre. And yet again, the socio-economically marginalized are the worst sufferers. Unhygienic living conditions, poor sanitation and lack of awareness have only increased their vulnerability. They cannot afford private health facilities and now, the overburdened public health facilities too have become inaccessible to them. Look around us – one pandemic has changed our world. It has become glaringly obvious – Health Cannot Wait! We are living in uncertainty every day. But for the poor, this has been their entire life. Poverty is a daunting enough burden in itself; add sickness to it and it has the power of crushing even the strongest, as we are witnessing today. Let us not let them get crushed. Join hands to ensure health for all.

2.Prevention is better than Cure:

5.FREE PAN INDIA – ONLINE COUNSELING SERVICE
7% of Indians suffer from mental health disorders. The poor who experience debt, hunger, poverty, and hopelessness are more likely to suffer from mental disorders and cannot afford medical help. This is a vicious cycle. The COVID-19 disease has achieved pandemic status. The World Health Organization has issued guidelines for managing the problem from both biomedical and Psychological points of view. While preventive and medical action is the most important at this stage emergency Psychological crisis interventions for people affected by COVID-19 are also critical and most essential. This includes extending telephonic counselling for patients, relatives, caregivers, health care professionals and common public. Sri Vidhya Pedam Welfare Foundation is conducting “FREE PAN INDIA – ONLINE COUNSELING SERVICE” to needy.
